What should you do after winning a Yahoo! Auctions auction?
Guidance on payment, surcharges, and notes after winning an auction on Yahoo! Auctions.
Updated 29/09/2026
This article applies to proxy bidding orders on Yahoo! Auctions via Suzuki. After you win an auction, Suzuki will create an order for you to pay and continue processing the item to the Japan warehouse, then send it to Vietnam by the shipping method you selected.
What charges are included in the order after winning?
After winning, the auction order includes the winning price of the product, including tax, and the Japan domestic shipping fee reported by the seller. If there are any additional charges from the seller or the marketplace, you will receive an additional payment request in the "Payment management" ("Quản lý thanh toán") section.
- If the seller requires payment via a convenience store or a separate bank transfer, Yahoo! Auctions may incur a 400 yen surcharge.
- If the seller charges an additional shipping fee or has another mandatory charge, Suzuki will notify you so you can make payment.
- Amounts in yen are converted according to the Suzuki exchange rate finalized for the item, and the amount in VND is rounded up to the nearest thousand.
Steps to take after winning
- 1
Check the winning notification
When you win the auction, Suzuki displays a notification on the website or app. Suzuki does not send auction notification emails.
- 2
Go to "Payment management" ("Quản lý thanh toán")
Open the "Payment management" ("Quản lý thanh toán") section to view the auction order, the amount to be paid, and any additional charges if applicable.
- 3
Pay as soon as possible
The payment deadline depends on the seller. Some sellers require payment within 12 or 24 hours, so you should pay as soon as you see the request.
- 4
Track the order after payment
After payment, the order continues to be processed according to the shipping process: the seller sends the item to the Japan warehouse, Suzuki receives it into the warehouse, ships it to Vietnam, and delivers it to you.
Cases where a link is held for checking
Some auction links need to be checked by Suzuki before placing a bid, for example an item that the seller only delivers in person, does not ship, or an item in a restricted category. In that case, you will see the notification "restricted product, please wait for the system to check".
If the link is approved, the system will place the bid according to your action. If it is not approved, Suzuki will not place a bid for that link.
If you do not pay after winning
You cannot cancel an order after you have won the auction. If you do not pay or abandon the item after winning, you may be subject to a handling fee depending on the case and may face an auction feature restriction. In cases of repeat violations, you may be permanently restricted.
